Stanislav Martinec was born 30.10.1938 in České Budějovice.

1953 - 1957 he studied ceramic art at the School of Ceramics in Bechyně. From 1960 he worked in the ceramic cooperative Keramo. In his work he focuses on small figurative sculptures and reliefs. His subjects are the urban environment and nature. He participated in many collective exhibitions at home and abroad.

He is represented in the ceramics - collections in Bechyně, Brno and Prague.
